Initially created in 1868 by Richard Lange, the family brand A Lange & Sohne was primarily based in Glashutte, the forefront of watchmaking in Germany. Alongside its long course, it has adhered firmly to its incomparable commitment of producing watches of excellence. These meticulously manufactured and exquisitely embellished watches are heavily sought after by avid watch lovers and worshiped by connoisseurs.

A Lange & Sohne watches began to be related with the royal household and revel in immense recognition in 1898 when Kaiser William II gifted a distinguished jewelled pocket watch to the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. The brand title A Lange & Sohne was elevated to a new top at that time.

Unfortunately, the watchmaking of A Lange & Sohne has ceased for a long period in the course of the Europe conflict when an aerial bombing raid wrecked the unique watch manufacturing base. After the reunification of Germany, A Lange & Sohne began its watchmaking tradition below the leadership of Walter Lange, the grandson of Richard Lange, and the model came to a brand new era of watchmaking.

In 1990, the brand has gone another re-delivery when it was registered again. With the debut of some new fashions such as the Lange 1, the Arkade, the Saxony and the Tourbillon, avid followers of the mechanical watch movement and complications have been embracing these classically manufactured timepieces pleasantly.

In 2000, the brand was buying by the world known Richemont Group. Nonetheless, the enriching traditions of A Lange & Sohne and its quintessential watchmaking techniques still stay true today.

With plenty of components being meticulously hand crafted, the A Lange & Sohne watches are definitely impeccable works of art.
